Ed Elkins graduated from Franklin Pierce College with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in economics in 1973. He spend many years in the retail business before becoming a real estate appraiser in 1999. Ed is a Massachusetts Certified Residential Appraiser and is FHA approved. He will appraise any residential dwelling, four families or less. Ed has been appraising properties in the the Boston neighborhoods (South End, Back Bay, Beacon Hill, the Waterfront / North End, Midtown, the West End, East Boston, South Boston, Charlestown, Jamaica Plain, Mattapan, Dorchester, West Roxbury, Roslindale), Cambridge, and some Boston suburbs since 1999. He has literally appraised thousands of condominiums, single family dwellings, and multi family dwellings in the Boston area. Ed is in the city three or four times a week. If necessary he can turn an appraisal around as quickly as needed. Typical turn around time is about five to seven days. Each appraisal report complies with USPAP standards, presenting salient property and analytical information in a standard Fannie Mae report format, complete with narrative analyses, comparable sales information, a detailed market condition anaylsis, neighborhood maps, interior sketches, and photographs.
